KFactoring liaises
KFactoring liaises with affiliated import factors from abroad to provide factoring services to export Clients in Thailand. KFactoring became a member of
Factors Chain International (FCI) in January 2000 and began processing electronically via the EDI Factoring network in July 2000.
- Established in 1968 as the umbrella organization for independent factoring companies around the world, FCI has grown into the world’s largest factoring network. When FCI was founded, factoring services were available only domestically in North America and a few European countries. The concept of international or cross border factoring was new and restricted in scope. The founding members of FCI saw the potential for international factoring, but realized that their umbrella organization was needed for two reasons:
- To introduce factoring into countries where it was not yet available
- To develop a global framework for members to work together. In 2006 FCI has more than 206 members in 59 countries. Each member must meet its strict criteria, in terms of financial strength and commitment of high standards of service.
